Organised by Black Lantern Marketing, the event brought search, content and marketing professionals to Athens, with a programme that connected SEO to AI search, brand and automation.
For us, taking part in this conversation is part of the continuous evaluation of the methods we apply. We follow developments, examine different approaches and look for what can be turned into documented practice for the businesses we support.
SEO, GEO and presence in AI answers
In the official programme, Darko Ivanoski addressed the relationship between GEO and SEO in the age of answer engines, while Malte Landwehr’s talk focused on what works for visibility in AI search.
Our own approach starts from a specific need of management: to know how its company appears in the questions that relate to its services and its market.
Which businesses are mentioned? With what description? Which sources accompany the answer? Are there inaccuracies or gaps?
These questions let us set a baseline and evaluate our interventions. The conversation about AI visibility gains business value when it is tied to specific customer questions and repeated measurement.
Brand in the conversation about search
The relationship between AI search and brand was a separate panel discussion with Gaetano Romeo, Nick Malekos, Marco Giordano and Ana Precup. The programme also included talks by Darko Brzica and Baki Erfidan on authority beyond the company website and on the role of citations and mentions of the brand.
For Phoenix Verus this connects to a fundamental question of strategy: how clearly a business presents itself across the whole of its public presence.
Its identity, its specialisation and its services need a clear description. The information has to be accurate, up to date and consistent, so that a prospective customer understands what the company offers and which needs it is suited to.
That requires collaboration between brand, content and technical implementation. It also requires evidence: projects, documented references and content that supports what the business claims.
Automation and content with a clear purpose
Automation with large language models was the subject of Marco Giordano’s presentation. Helene Jelenc brought the human dimension of content in the age of AI to the programme, while Arnout Hellemans focused on the information that can be drawn from search results pages.
In our own practice, the choice of a tool follows the definition of the need. Which task do we want to improve? What data do we have? How will we check the result?
The same principle applies to content. Every page needs a reason to exist: to answer a real question, to explain a service, or to help the reader evaluate a decision. The business’s experience and knowledge are the core material of that work.
Knowledge becomes valuable in application
Our visit to SEO On Stage Athens is part of our continuing investment in knowledge about search, AI visibility and systems development.
At Phoenix Verus we evaluate new approaches by their relevance to each business, their feasibility and how the result is measured. That is how we connect strategy with engineering, and knowledge with specific interventions.
