It is led by two principals: Taxiarchis Vafeas, Founder, CEO and Chief AI Officer, and Afroditi Arampatzi, Digital Growth and Partner. The practice works on answer engine optimization, AI visibility measurement, automation and custom software for companies in Greece and the EU.
Two people, two routes into the same work. One came up through operating businesses and then engineering the systems behind them. The other came up through brand and strategy across sixteen years and more than 250 campaigns. Neither route on its own produces this company.
Founder, CEO & Chief AI Officer
Taxiarchis Vafeas
Taxiarchis came to marketing through commerce rather than the other way round: Amazon listings and sales operations at nineteen, his own company at twenty. Marketing, team leadership and cash management arrived as operating requirements rather than as subjects to study, which is why his advice still starts at the profit line and works back to the channel.
Several years of testing business models followed — affiliate, dropshipping and e-commerce — and Google Ads is where the work turned technical. Formal training came through Meta's Expert Program, where he served as Team Leader, and Google's Customer Success Program.
He leads the measurement and engineering side of the practice: AI visibility measurement, answer engine optimization, and the agents, automation and platforms beneath them. Because the systems are built in-house rather than licensed, any figure put in front of a client can be opened and interrogated on the spot.
Responsible for: AEO and LLMO strategy, Google Ads and performance, GA4 and server-side measurement, AI agents and automation, and EU AI Act readiness.
Digital Growth & Partner
Afroditi Arampatzi
Afroditi is a strategic marketing and brand positioning specialist with more than sixteen years in marketing and project management, across over 250 growth campaigns in twelve industries. Her work spans strategic planning, performance marketing, branding, content and data-driven analysis.
She holds Chief Marketing Officer roles at Acrotel Hotels & Resorts and at Atlas Consulting, and co-founded Sustainable Growth in Thessaloniki. In both CMO mandates the work runs from strategy through execution: positioning, campaign architecture, digital visibility and the reporting that governs the budget.
At PHOENIX VERUS she leads growth and brand — a load-bearing role rather than an adjacent one. Entity clarity is a positioning problem before it becomes a technical one: a company that cannot state plainly what it is will not be classified cleanly by a language model either. The positioning is settled first, and the structured data then records an answer that is already true.
Responsible for: brand strategy and positioning, marketing and growth planning, content strategy, employer branding, and delivery management across client engagements.
How the two halves fit
The market this company works in has a structural gap. Almost everyone selling AI visibility comes from marketing and cannot build the measurement. Almost everyone who can build it is not the person explaining to an owner what the number means, or deciding what the company should stand for in the first place.
PHOENIX VERUS covers both ends deliberately. Positioning and narrative on one side, measurement and engineering on the other, and a shared refusal to publish a number neither of us can produce on request.
What we do and what we do not
We take on work where the outcome can be measured and the measurement can be shown to you. That rules out a fair amount of what this category sells. We do not sell guaranteed rankings, we do not sell llms.txt as a ranking factor, and we do not put a figure on a page unless it traces to something real.
